How we publish

Editorial standards

MemeWire publishes visual commentary and humor. The images in our feed are creative interpretations, not authoritative news summaries. Readers should distinguish between the joke, the underlying event, and the original reporting.

Sources and context

Where a post is based on a particular article, we aim to include a Source link to the reporting that informed it. A link is a reference, not an endorsement of every claim made by the publisher. Some humor or general-interest memes may not have an article source.

Accuracy and corrections

We aim to avoid misleading edits, fabricated quotes presented as genuine, and humor that creates false impressions about real events. News develops quickly; older memes may reflect the information available at the time. If an error is identified, a post may be corrected or removed.

Respect and safety

We do not intend to publish material that encourages violence, harassment, or hateful treatment of people. Satire may criticize public figures and institutions, but commentary should not be confused with verified fact.

Independence

Memes represent editorial or comedic choices, not the positions of the news organizations linked in them. Sponsored material, if introduced in the future, should be distinguished from editorial posts.
