Robert Pattinson and Nicholas Hoult Are Late Contenders for 007

Robert Pattinson and Nicholas Hoult have emerged as late contenders to play James Bond, after both actors auditioned for director Denis Villeneuve as the search for the next 007 enters a new phase. The casting race has been one of Hollywood's longest-running guessing games, with the franchise looking for a successor to Daniel Craig and a fresh start under Villeneuve's direction. Pattinson, who headlined The Batman, and Hoult, who played Lex Luthor in Superman, are both established leading men with blockbuster experience, and their late entry into the process suggests the decision is still wide open and the producers are weighing big names.
