Chiefs WR Rice Files For Bankruptcy, Claims He Owes Over $3.45M In Debts

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice, 26, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in federal court in Texas on Wednesday, listing more than $3.45 million in debts, according to court records. Over $2.1 million of that is tied to civil litigation, including lawsuits over his role in a 2024 high-speed multicar crash in Dallas and assault allegations by an ex-girlfriend. Rice listed $677,054 in personal assets and $13,640 in checking accounts, rents his home, and owns no property. The filing lays bare the financial fallout facing the young receiver.
