Alligator strolls into North Carolina bagel shop

An alligator wandered into a bagel shop in North Carolina, turning an ordinary morning into a startling wildlife encounter for staff and customers. The reptile's unannounced visit to the shop, a place built for breakfast crowds rather than wild animals, quickly became a talking point far beyond the town. Alligators are a familiar presence in parts of the southeastern United States, but finding one indoors at a food business is rare enough to stop a room. The episode is a reminder of how closely people and wildlife live side by side in the region, and how quickly an everyday errand can turn unusual.
